The One About Beauty.

my take on beauty lately:

i’ve recently have seen how the Lord has been shaping my way of how i view beauty in this world. i lived in so much self-condemnation when i would feel “confident” or “beautiful” as if i was instantly being vain and conceited. i think there’s a lot of shame around feeling comfortable in your own skin or the slippery slope of being insecure or being prideful.

i’ve been seeing how God has been opening my eyes to understand that i’m made in His image, that I am a living proof of His fingerprint, that He was delighted in what He created.
that’s something to empower us and free us from trying to self create or self condemn. walking in who He made us to be and knowing we all carry a different sense of beauty, is so unbelievably freeing.

know that you’re entire worth isn’t in your looks, but it a beautiful thing to look at the fact that we are all part of what God wanted to create // 🦋🪽
