The One About Freedom.
i am not sure who this is for but
stop beating yourself up
stop putting yourself through suffering, condemnation, frustration, doubt.
jesus reminded me tonight to look up — look at the work of the cross.
he suffered so we didn’t have too.
he suffered so the war in our mind would be finished and those thoughts would hold no victory.
you are doing enough, you are fine just the way you are, you are okay in the season that you are in, you are okay!
i promise.
turn the world off, turn off expectations of everyone
and tune into the abundant life that jesus gives
he suffered so we didn’t have too.
on that cross, he put to death your intrusive thoughts, tireless nights, mental health, your anxious thoughts, your insecurities and tendencies, all things that bring death and destruction, he hung it up there with him.
break off the vapor shackles
and allow yourself to be free —
choose to be free.
walk into the open door
stop letting the world lie to you that you need to accomplish big things to be loved, that it needs to look perfect, that you need to look perfect, that you need to praised to be loved, that you need to fit in to be loved, that you need to perform to be loved;
seek truth, seek jesus.
allow yourself to be loved for exactly where you are and who you are —
there is nothing to prove to anyone
accept his grace and let the love of the father transform and renew your mind.
cast all your anxieties onto him
and anchor yourself in his love.
we can scoff, we can reject, we can fight and we can push all we want and it will never lessen his love for us.
he still hung on that cross,
he still saw the best in us
you are someone worthy of being saved.
